Abstract: Mounting arrangement of the bars supporting the grippers in a map-making or security-paper printing machine, wherein each bar consists of a pair of parallel tubular rods and is supported at its opposite ends on two transport chains slidable along two parallel fixed guides, each bar end being mounted on a pair of pins fixed to the chains and projecting therefrom towards the bar. Between the bar ends and the pairs of support pins there is interposed an intermediate support, formed by two elements adapted to slide telescopically one in respect of the other in a direction parallel to the sliding plane of the chains and lengthwise of the chains, one of these elements, in the form of a plate, comprising two transverse bores to house the pins of the chain, while the other element, in the form of a slide, is fixed to an end of each bar and is slidably mounted on the plate.

Abstract: The device comprises a conveyor chain (1) for the sheets to be checked (3) by a detector (5). The support bars (4, 4'), on which the sheet to be examined (3) slides, are fitted, in the checking zone, with suction nozzles (4a) and in the gap between two support bars (4) there are provided movable arms (10), fitted at their end with suction nozzles (10a) which, in the operating position, are aligned with the suction nozzles (4a) of the support bars and arranged in the sheet transfer plane in order to hold the sheet to be examined (3) in this plane. In order to prevent the clamps (2a) which pull the sheet (3) from touching the arms (10), a mechansim is provided for tilting the arms (10) when the clamps (2a) pass above these arms.

Abstract: The device comprises a conveying cylinder (1) for the sheets (3) to be checked, which is provided with a bar of sheet-clamps (2) and at least one detector (4). In proximity to the detector (4), there is provided a calibrating strip (6) mounted in a movable manner with respect to the surface of the cylinder (1) and linked to a mechanism (5) enabling it to be lifted intermittently when the clamps (2) pass below, and adjusting mechanism (12-15) for setting the distance from said strip to the cylinder in its operating position to a determined value.
