Abstract: The case comprises a base piece, two side pieces, two head pieces, two strengthening projections located along the vertical edges of head pieces, two end flaps folding on the top ends of the head pieces and folded over the strengthening projections and a lid that is obtained from a single lid blank divided up by preformed fold lines and perforated lines, the latter permitting the partial or total removal of the lid from the case.

Abstract: The machine consists of a first flow line which conveys box blanks from feed station to a box-filling station, a second flow line for products, leading to a third station where the products are collated to form groups which are then transferred to the box-filling station where they are inserted into the boxes, and finally a third line which carries the boxes made at this latter station, each boxes containing a group of products, to a fourth station where the boxes are completed.

Abstract: The machine works on cases, or upon groups of one or more cases, by effecting an inward-folding operation on the end flaps which fold on the top edges of the transverse side pieces of every case, subsequently effecting a downward-folding operation on the flaps which fold on the end flaps, and gluing the latter to the wings of the longitudinal side pieces of the case so that the machine itself subsequently positions a corresponding lid blank on the case, centering the former both longitudinally and transversly in relation to the case, glues the central portion of the lid blank to the end flaps, folds the side portions of the lid blank until they come into contact with longitudinal side pieces of the case, and finally glues the side portions to the longitudinal side pieces.

Abstract: The container is formed out of a blank and possesses considerable mechanical strength as a consequence of the thickness of the sides being doubled through first parts, the thickness of the bottom being doubled through second parts, the ends offering notable resistance to flattening due to the presence of strengthening edges, the thickness of the said ends being doubled in the region of the corresponding central areas and, lastly, the end pieces of the sides being locked to the strengthening edges of the said ends.
