  • Publication number: 20220267284
Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for synthesizing N-substituted phenyl-5-hydroxymethyl-2-oxazolidinone, wherein the method comprises: reacting from raw materials, 3-R2-4-R1-aniline and epichlorohydrin, and allowing the resulting product to react under alkaline conditions in a CO2 atmosphere to obtain N-substituted phenyl-5-hydroxymethyl-2-oxazolidinone, wherein R1 is a morpholine group, a morpholin-3-one group or a piperazine group, and derivative groups thereof, and R2 is halogen, hydrogen or lower alkyl. The method provided by the disclosure has such advantages as few steps, simple operation, cheap and easily available raw materials, mild reaction conditions, and high product yield, and is especially suitable for industrial production of antibiotic linezolid intermediates and antithrombotic drug rivaroxaban intermediates.

  • Patent number: 9548177
Abstract: A smart fuse for circuit protection includes a first shaft and second shaft separated by a gap. A heater is located inside portions of the first and second shafts, and the heater is held in place within the shafts by a solder alloy that fills the gap. The shafts and solder alloy form an electrical signal path through the fuse. A spring is attached to the heater. The spring is stretched such that the spring exerts a force on the heater. The solder alloy holds the heater in place and resists the force exerted by the spring. In an activation condition of the fuse, the heater increases in temperature and melts the solder alloy. The melted solder alloy no longer resists the force exerted by the spring, and the spring pulls the heater through the second shaft until the gap is open, thereby severing the electrical connection through the fuse.

  • Patent number: 9472364
Abstract: A circuit protection device includes a base assembly, a spring on top of the base, a conductive terminal that fits over the base and spring, and a cap that first over the base, spring and terminal. The base includes latches on the front side of the base. The conductive terminal includes a first end on the front side of the base and a second end on a rear side of the base that is opposite to the front side. The cap includes a first protrusion extending downward from the cap above one of the latches and a second protrusion extending downward from the cap above the other latch. The circuit protection device also includes a means for activating the circuit protection device after reflow in response to a force applied to the cap in a first direction defined from a top of the cap towards the base.
