  • Patent number: 11850686
Abstract: Present invention teaches a height adjustable rest having four main parts: a base, a cylindrical knob, a cylindrical post and a snap ring. The cylindrical post has a vertical straight groove to guide the up-and-down height adjustment when the knob is turned relative to the base. The base holes and the knob holes, along with the corresponding rods, provide increased torque when larger and/or heavier workpiece is being supported. The matching inner thread portion (on the inside of the cylindrical knob) and the outer thread portion (on the outside of the base) is a desired feature to make the product less susceptible to damages or work debris compared to other products with exposed threads.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 26, 2023
    Assignee: Valtra Inc.
    Inventors: Gary Tsui, Daqing Zhu

  • Patent number: 9505089
Abstract: A clamping device utilizing the principle of leverage comprises a body, a L-shape front clamping leg, a pair of L-shape rear clamping legs, a spring clip, and a braided ground wire. Both the front and the rear clamping legs are slidable on the body and fixed by wing screws so that the position of the body relative to the front and rear clamping legs is adjustable and hence the clamping size and clamping force are also adjustable. Copper tips are added to the legs to eliminate sparkling while welding. A braided wire can be connected to the body for grounding purpose.

  • Patent number: 7009480
Abstract: A semi-releasable magnetic tool is disclosed. The tool comprises two magnetizable pole plates. Each of said pole plates is bounded by peripheral edges. The pole plates are spaced apart and preferably disposed in substantial registry with one another. A generally non-magnetizable spacer member is positioned between the pole plates and spaced inwardly from the peripheral edges. A magnetic switch is mounted between the pole plates. The switch is switchably associated with at least one magnetic element. The magnetic element positioned so as to magnetize the pole plates. The magnetic element can be switchably moved toward and away from the pole plates so that they are strongly or weakly magnetized. The magnetization of the tool in the weaker configuration is such that the tool can be easily placed in a desired position on a magnetizable workpiece. The tool is clamped in position on the workpiece by moving the magnet(s) closer to the pole plates.
