A user may sweep the dermaplaning device over the skin in order to exfoliate the skin. The dermaplaning device may include a device handle configured to selectively engage a corresponding blade cartridge, where the cartridge may be removed and replaced with a new cartridge after being sufficiently used. The peripheral components used in the dermaplaning kit may include a blade rack configured to store blade cartridges, a blade rack holder, a dermaplaning device receptacle, and a blade disposal unit, among other components.
