Abstract: A barbecue grill, have an enclosed cooking container resting upon a support structure, the cooking enclosure having walls that enclose the cooking area and a clamshell lid for access, heating elements in the lower portion of the enclosure, connected to a fuel source, and containing within the cooking enclosure heating elements in the lower portion, grills for holding food and exposing it to the circulating air in the superior portion, and a drawer or drawers for wood, water, or other substances, which can be exposed to heat for the creation of smoke, steam or other result, consequently enabling the standard grilling process, but also providing a low skill, low effort means of enabling the slow smoking process as well as the simulated cooking of food over a wood fire.
