Abstract: A channel member for securing lap siding about an opening in a structure, comprising a first substantially flat section arranged to mount the channel member to a surface of the structure; a second section extending outwardly from an edge of the first section and also extending essentially perpendicularly outwardly from the first section; a third section extending perpendicularly from an edge of the second section and arranged in a spaced apart parallel relationship with respect to the first section; and, a fourth section secured to the first and third sections in a spaced apart parallel relationship with respect to the second section, wherein the first, second, third and fourth section form a closed drainage channel.
