  • Patent number: 7534102
Abstract: An apparatus and a process for the molding of articles made of plastic material with two components by means of a stack-mold press with a first cavity and a second cavity for the injection of the plastic material and the possible compression of the injected plastic material, in which the moulds and the countermolds of the apparatus define respective mutually facing surfaces. Parameters indicating the mutual parallelism between said facing surfaces are detected, and the closing assembly for closing the press is controlled according to the parameters detected.

  • Publication number: 20090117220
Abstract: An auxiliary supporting structure for presses, having an auxiliary mold platen having a front surface designed to firmly, but removably, support a half-mold; a number of hydraulic supporting cylinders, which project from the rear of the auxiliary mold platen, in a direction parallel to a reference axis perpendicular to the plane of the auxiliary mold platen; mounting means for firmly, but removably, fixing the hydraulic cylinders to the front surface of a movable mold platen of the press; a hydraulic distributor for regulating pressurized-oil flow to and from each hydraulic cylinder independently of the others; and an electronic central control unit for controlling the hydraulic distributor as a function of signals from a number of external sensors, to enable the hydraulic cylinders to instantaneously compensate any asymmetric distribution of the mechanical forces exerted on the half-mold as the plastic material is injected.

  • Publication number: 20080241299
Abstract: An electronic device for controlling plastics injection molds; the electronic device being completely separate and independent of the central temperature regulating control unit of the mold, and having a number of electronically controlled electric switching assemblies, each of which is interposable between one electric power module of the central temperature regulating control unit of the mold and the two independent resistors and two independent temperature sensors which together form each heating unit of the injection device of the mold; each electric switching assembly selectively and alternatively connecting one of the two resistors and one of the two temperature sensors of a corresponding heating unit to a respective electric power module of the central temperature regulating control unit of the mold; and the electronic device also having an electronic central control unit which controls the various electric switching assemblies as a function of the state of the resistors and temperature sensors of the

  • Publication number: 20080164629
Abstract: The identification and location of possible faults of operation and/or installation of a hot runner are obtained through the measurement of the absorption of power by the heating resistors applied to the arms and to the injectors of the hot runner. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the power absorbed by the resistors also enables identification of the type of possible faults and the corresponding seriousness.

  • Publication number: 20070119846
Abstract: Described herein is a thermoregulation sistem for heated components (N) of apparatus for injection moulding of plastic materials, equipped with a first heating resistor (R1) and a second heating resistor (R2) with respective thermocouples (TC1, TC2) associated thereto, comprising an electronic control unit (C) for controlling the fail-safe electric supply of the two resistors (R1, R2) according to signals coming from the respective thermocouples (TC1, TC2). The two resistors (R1, R2) are connected independently to the control unit (C), to which the thermocouples (TC1, TC2) are also independently connected.
