  • Publication number: 20200391239
Abstract: Plasma nozzle includes a nozzle body arranged to engage with a thermal spray gun. The nozzle body includes an axial through bore having up-stream input orifice and a down-stream nozzle exit, at least one material injector positioned between the up-stream input orifice and the nozzle-exit, said at least one material injector being configured to introduce a feedstock material into a gas flow passing through the axial through bore and at least one gas injector configured to introduce a shroud gas flow into the axial through bore and being located at a position up-stream of said at least one material injector.

  • Publication number: 20200283880
Abstract: Method for coating components by thermal spraying, wherein not the entire surface of the component is to be coated and wherein those parts of the surface that are not to be coated are covered by masking before coating and wherein the covering is made by a paste processes at least in the areas of critical mask boundaries, i.e. by way of a paste dispensed from at least one nozzle, wherein the paste is a curable paste and curing is photo induced and preferably made by way of UV radiation, characterized in that the masking utilizes a partial masking step and a complementary masking step, the complementary masking step being performed at least in the area of critical mask boundaries and the partial masking step being performed in an area spaced from the area of critical mask boundary and the method of partial masking is not a paste process.

  • Patent number: 9434987
Abstract: A cartridge for an optical analysis, including a supporting body, having a first face and a second face opposite to one another; a plurality of wells adapted to receive a biological solution to be analyzed, the wells extending in the supporting body on the first face; at least one biocompatible layer extending inside each well; an anti-reflection layer extending on the first face outside the wells; and a reflection layer extending inside each well. Methods of using same are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150140562
Abstract: An optical analyzer, configured to receiving a cartridge for biochemical analyses including a plurality of wells, and carrying out fluorescence analysis of the cartridge, in particular of the wells. The analyzer comprises a control unit (microprocessor and memory) configured to: (a) acquiring an image associated to the fluorescence emitted by the cartridge; (b) identifying, in the image, pixels belonging to boundary lines of the wells by generating a black and white binary image; (c) recognizing, between the geometrical shapes identified in step (b), the ones that best approximate a reference geometrical shape identifying an ideal well; (d) acquiring, from the starting image, values of light intensity only in portions of the image itself that in turn correspond to the regions recognized in step (c); and (e) evaluating a state of advance and/or a result of the biochemical analysis on the basis of the values of light intensity acquired in step (d).

  • Publication number: 20100221706
Abstract: A ready-to-use kit for the PCR amplification of nucleic acids is described, comprising at least one vessel into which a master mix comprising the salts, the buffer and the deoxynucleotide triphosphates required for the PCR amplification is prealiquotted, the said master mix being mixed with an effective amount of an inert temperature controllable polymer such that the final mixture thus formed is in the liquid phase at a predetermined temperature and in the gel phase at a temperature lower than a second predetermined temperature.
