  • Publication number: 20160326701
Abstract: A rotary mixer utilizes position control technology to determine the position of the rotary mixer on a work surface and a controller determines whether an intended path across a work surface will overlap with a previously pulverized, mixed and modified surface. The rotary mixer utilizes at least one fluid spray bar in the rotor chamber or mixing chamber that extends along the width of the rotor. The fluid spray bar includes a plurality of nozzles spaced apart along the fluid spray bar that may he individually controlled by a nozzle actuator. In the event such an overlap is occurring or will occur, to avoid the application of excess fluid to the already modified surface, the controller directs the nozzle actuator to either reduce or shut off flow through the nozzles that are in alignment with the already modified surface.

The cab includes a ceiling portion, a base portion, and at least one collapsible column. The at least one collapsible column includes an upper arm connected to the ceiling portion and a lower arm connected to the base portion. The actuating cylinder actuates to maintain the cab between a first pre-determined height and a second pre-determined height, via slidable actuation of the upper arm. The ROPS includes a canopy to cover the cab, which is secured between a pair of telescopic support members. The telescopic support member includes a movable column with a canopy end attached to the canopy and a fixed column with a frame end connected to the frame. • Patent number: 7523995
Abstract: Work machines such as road mills having a frame supported by tracked or wheeled ground engaging support units may require the ability to move one or more of the ground engaging units between projecting and retracted positions relative to the frame without reversing the running direction of the repositioned unit. A disclosed work machine has a machine frame supportable by a plurality of ground engaging units. A support device connected between the machine frame and at least one of the ground engaging units has a lifting column adapted to controllably raise and lower the ground engaging unit relative to the frame. A first actuator is connected to the support device to move the one ground engaging unit between the projecting and retracted positions, and a second actuator is connected to the lifting column to maintain the running direction of the associated ground engaging unit in each of the projecting and retracted positions.
