  • Patent number: 9097592
Abstract: A sensing device includes a first current mirror configured to mirror a current flowing through a thermistor, a second current mirror configured to mirror a current flowing through a reference resistor a comparator configured to compare voltages on the thermistor and the resistor, and a counter configured to generate a control signal representative of a temperature difference based on the comparison. The control signal controls a mirroring ratio of the second current mirror. The sensing device may be employed to generate a droop current of a voltage regulator.

  • Patent number: 8556506
Abstract: A temperature-current transducer includes first and second voltage dividers, with the first voltage divider including a thermistor in an environment. An operational amplifier has a first input coupled to an intermediate node of the first voltage divider, and a second input coupled to an intermediate node of the second voltage divider. A cascode stage is configured to be biased in a conduction state and is controlled by the operational amplifier. The cascode stage includes a first current terminal coupled to the intermediate node of the second voltage divider. A current mirror is coupled to a second current terminal of the cascode stage, and is configured to mirror on an output line current flowing through the cascode stage that is representative of temperature differences between a temperature in an environment of the thermistor and a reference temperature.

  • Patent number: 7221135
Abstract: A method regulates the time constant matching of a DC/DC converter phase, further to a variation of a load applied to an output of said phase. Such phase being associated with a coil network, with a series RL circuit and a reading network 10, with a series RC circuit connected in parallel to the coil network. The method includes an acquisition step, suitable to acquire the trend of a voltage detected across the capacitance CD of the reading network 10, transforming it into a current trend, a detection step suitable to identify a variation above a certain threshold value of said current trend, an identification step, enabled by said detection step, suitable to determine a slope of said current trend and a regulation step suitable to adapt the value of said resistance RD based on said slope determined by said identification step.
