  • Publication number: 20110201047
Abstract: This invention provides a method to select and enrich healthy sperm for use in assisted reproductive techniques comprising incubating sperm with at least one marking reagent that enters unhealthy sperm but not healthy sperm. The invention also provides a method to sort healthy sperm of high viability from apoptotic, necrotic and dead sperm by using YO-PRO-1 and PI for fluorescence activated cell sorting in flow cytometers. A kit comprising YO-PRO-1 and PI is also included in this invention.
