Publication number: 20230417780Abstract: A biological indicator reader system (100) may comprise a standalone computing device (110) comprising a standalone reading system (140) and a graphical user interface (112) (e.g., a graphical touchscreen interface) that communicates with at least one incubator unit (130). The at least one incubator unit (130) may comprise a plurality of wells (132) that accommodate vials (134) as well as a display (136). The display may display information (e.g., an identification of a number of wells connected to the standalone computing device) that is also displayed on the graphical user interface (112) of the standalone computing device (110). The display (136) may be configured to show which well (132) has a vial (134) inserted therein and, additionally or alternatively, to indicate a test result in front of each respective well (132) of a test performed on the vial (134). Further, the at least one incubator unit (130) may comprise plural incubator units, which themselves comprise modular components.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2021Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Advanced Sterilization Products, Inc.Inventors: Jacob Childs, Darius D. Publication number: 20230381361Abstract: A biological indicator analyzer includes a plurality of wells, a plurality of organism detector features, and a user input feature such as a touch screen. Each well is configured to receive a respective biological indicator. Each organism detector feature is configured to detect whether a biological indicator disposed in a corresponding well of the plurality of wells contains a living organism. The touch screen is configured to receive user input and provide information to the user indicating a status of biological indicator analysis. The biological indicator analyzer may be used to analyze a biological indicator that was positioned in a sterilization chamber of a sterilizing cabinet along with at least one medical device that is to be sterilized. The analysis may indicate whether the sterilization cycle in the sterilization chamber as successful.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 14, 2023Publication date: November 30, 2023Applicant: ASP Global Manufacturing GMBHInventors: Brian J. Publication number: 20230364291Abstract: A sterilizing cabinet performs a method of processing a medical device, such as a used medical device or an otherwise non-sterile medical device. The method includes receiving input from a user selecting a sterilization cycle from a plurality of available sterilization cycles. The sterilizing cabinet identifies a biological indicator associated with the selected sterilization cycle. The sterilizing cabinet prompts the user via a touch screen display to place the medical device and the biological indicator into a sterilization chamber of a sterilizing cabinet. The sterilizing cabinet performs load conditioning on the medical device in the sterilization chamber. The sterilizing cabinet then performs the selected sterilization cycle on the medical device in the sterilization chamber after completing the act of load conditioning.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2023Publication date: November 16, 2023Applicant: ASP Global Manufacturing GMBHInventors: Brian J. Publication number: 20230181252Abstract: An electrophysiology catheter is disclosed having a balloon with a membrane. Electrodes may be disposed on the membrane. Each electrode may include a radiopaque marker. The markers may have different forms, e.g., alphanumeric or polygonal, to facilitate visualization of the electrodes using a bi-stable image and allow for selection of the appropriate electrodes to be energized during ablation of tissue. The inventive subject matter allows for proper orientation of electrodes on the balloon under a two-dimensional imaging system. This allows the operator or physician to determine if certain electrodes are adjacent or contiguous to the posterior surface of the left atrium and ablate such posterior surface for shorter duration or at a lower power to create an effective transmural lesion on the posterior wall of the left atrium while reducing the chances of damaging the adjacent anatomical structures.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2023Publication date: June 15, 2023Inventors: Jeffrey L. CLARK, Michael D. BANANDO, Christopher T. BEECKLER, Darius D. EGHBAL, Kevin J. HERRERA, Joseph T. KEYES, Christopher BIRCHARD
