  • Publication number: 20240096565
Abstract: A system includes any number of solid-state circuit breakers that couple between a power supply and an electrical load. The system also includes a housing and the solid-state circuit breakers are disposed within the housing. The housing includes a door sensor that generates a first signal indicative of a position of a door of the housing. The housing also includes an indicator that generates a second signal indicative of a position of a handle of the housing. The system also includes a secondary device communicatively coupled to the solid-state circuit breakers, the door sensor, and the indicator. The secondary device receives the first signal and the second signal and generates an instruction to adjust an operating state of the solid-state circuit breakers based on the first signal and the second signal.

  • Patent number: 11830695
Abstract: The invention relates to a switching device including a housing having a front housing and a rear housing. The rear housing includes a rear housing face, and a first sidewall, first end a second sidewall, and a second end wall projecting from the rear housing face to form at least one interior chamber. The sidewalls of the rear housing include a rear housing tab that projects away from the rear housing face. The switching device further includes a splitter plate support, comprising first and second support panels, located within the interior chamber. The first support panel further includes a support hook that extends from the outer panel face. The support hook has an aperture that engages the rear housing tab, in which the rear housing tab extends through the aperture of the support hook, forming a double-walled panel and reinforcing the housing.

  • Patent number: 11557443
Abstract: A coupler between an activator mounted on an enclosure and an electronic protection device located within the enclosure facilitates alignment between the coupler and the electronic protection device during installation and requires no tool for installation. The coupler is positioned over an opening in the electronic protection device and oriented such that a first coupling portion is configured to engage a complementary coupling portion on the electronic protection device. The coupler may be manually mounted, engaging the complementary coupling portions on the door handle coupler and the electronic protection device without requiring a tool for installation. The coupler includes an upper sleeve configured to receive an axle, connected to the activator, that rotates independently of a lower sleeve which is mounted to the electronic protection device, facilitating orientation of the activator on the outside of the enclosure. The coupler provides for local lock-out of the electronic protection device.

  • Patent number: 11335518
Abstract: An improved switching device includes a guide configured to reduce undesired movement of the switching element. The guide includes an upper portion configured to receive the switching element and a lower portion configured to receive a spring. The upper portion defines a seat to receive the switching element and includes at least one resilient tab to retain the switching element within the guide. The lower portion defines an opening in which the spring is positioned, where the spring is seated, in part, against the switching element and against the guide. The guide includes guide portions configured to engage a housing on the switching device to prevent rotation of the switching element within the switching device. The switching element further includes protrusions configured to engage each side of the guide and to prevent longitudinal movement of the switching element within the housing.
