  • Publication number: 20240216857
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a deliquescent desiccant material, preferably for the dehydration of natural gas, which comprises the steps of (a) preparing a solution comprising water, alcohol, a weak base and a deliquescent salt; (b) stirring the solution obtained in (a) until complete dissolution of the deliquescent salt; (c) adding a silica precursor to the solution obtained in (b), and stirring for sufficient time for the mixing to be complete; and (d) keeping the solution obtained in (c) in an oven, until the liquid has completely evaporated. The present invention also relates to a deliquescent desiccant material, and to the use of said material for drying gases.

  • Publication number: 20220055909
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of synthesis of zeolitic LTA adsorbents containing intercrystalline mesoporosity and controlled particle size, which can, for example, be used in natural gas dehydration processes, seeking to comply not only with the specifications on moisture content in the natural gas, but also improving the efficiency of the gas drying process in regard to the adsorption kinetics, not compromising the adsorption capacity, water selectivity, and the regeneration cycles of the adsorbent. Another possible application of these compounds is as the support for catalysts for oil refining processes. The method of obtaining the zeolitic adsorbent solids, the purpose of this invention, consists of including an aging step of the reaction mixture in conjunction with the addition of N,N-dimethyl-N-[3-(trimethoxysilane)propyl]octadecyl ammonium chloride (TPOAC) to the reaction mixture.

  • Patent number: 8911635
Abstract: It is disclosed a hydrocyclone type separator having small dimensions for possessing high capacity for fluid processing by virtue of structural characteristics for feeding, of an upper outlet orifice (overflow) and of a lower outlet orifice (underflow). The feeding comprises two equal channels (18), diametrically opposed and curved, wherein the transverse cross sectional area gradually diminishes for accelerating the two phase fluid stream in a moderate manner. The possibility of the connection of interchangeable devices (2) and (6) to the upper outlet orifice (13) permits changing the diameter of said outlet orifice and, in this manner, altering the hydrodynamic characteristics of the hydrocyclone and increasing the capacity of same to operational ranges suitable for fluid flows having high oil content, medium oil content and low oil content.
