  • Publication number: 20210019847
Abstract: An online method is used to acquire historical data for severe weather activities associated with a real property to analyze potential damages and risk level thereof. The method searches both internal and external databases to acquire and process historical data of severe weather activities in addition to various general property data including map data, demographic data, property listing data, property construction detailed data, etc. The acquired weather data for the specific property include at least one severe weather activity such as hail, high wind, lightning, etc., for a predetermined period of time. The method subsequently processes the severe weather data and conducts risk analysis for each of the severe weather activity. Further, the method provides the severe weather activity report to equip a potential buyer with pertinent knowledge of historical severe weather events.

  • Patent number: 9678206
Abstract: The present invention is directed to system and method of processing meteorological data. The process comprises receiving a meteorological data corresponding to a geographic region from at least one meteorological data source for a selected time slice, with the meteorological data including radar reflectivity data. The system processes the meteorological data to derive probability of severe hail for points within the geographic region, processes the meteorological data to derive vertically integrated liquid for the points within the geographic region, and processes the meteorological data to derive enhanced echo tops for the points within the geographic region. The system processes the vertically integrated liquid and the enhanced echo tops to derive vertically integrated liquid density for the points within the geographic region and processes the probability of severe hail and the vertically integrated liquid density to derive derived hail index numbers for the points within the geographic region.

  • Publication number: 20150309208
Abstract: The present invention is directed to system and method of forecasts, displays, and alerts for localized hail activity. An exemplary method comprises the steps of selecting a region to monitor, receiving meteorological data for that region, processing the meteorological data for storm cell and hail activity in order to determine hail risk activity. The system forecasts the direction of an active storm as well a user position. Probability bands of hail risk activity are created for display. Optionally, an alert is generated when the user position is in or proximate a threshold probability band.
