  • Patent number: 4100971
Abstract: A pair of loosely coupled trash stripping rings are carried in face to face contact with sides of a rotary hoe wheel to continuously strip field trash accumulations from the hoe tines during cultivating operations. In operation, engagement with the ground continuously forces the stripping rings upwardly against the hoe hub and trash buildup on hoe tines opposite those tines engaging the ground is slidably scraped off by the upwardly moving stripping rings.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 2, 1976
Date of Patent: July 18, 1978
    Assignee: Deere & Company
    Inventor: Darrel Lee Honnold
  • Patent number: 4098347
Abstract: A tool-carrying implement having a center section and a pair of outer sections extending transversely from opposite ends of the center section. The center section supports a pair of carriers that shift transversely on the center section and each carrier supports a vertical pivot at its inner end. The inner ends of the outer sections are connected with the respective outer ends of the carriers and a hydraulic cylinder is provided on the center section for shifting the carriers transversely to swing the outer sections rearwardly about the pivot and rotate the tools carried on the outer sections behind the tools carried by the center section to avoid interference therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4056149
Abstract: A rearwardly folding multi-sectional implement includes a U-shaped center section and lockable wing linkage structure for securing the wing sections in either their operational or transport position. A resilient pad is provided to permit limited lateral movement of the wing during transport.

  • Patent number: 4042044
Abstract: A rearwardly folding multi-sectional agricultural implement includes power rotated toolbars elevated during transport to eliminate tool interferences at sectional hinge joints. The outboard sections are mechanically moved between operative and transport positions, mechanically secured in each position and resiliently restrained against lateral movement when in the transport position.

  • Patent number: 3948327
Abstract: A multiple sectioned agricultural implement having hydraulically powered folding means. A fixed center section and each side having inner wing sections and outer wing sections, each set respectively indentical in structure. Hydraulically powered folding cylinders fold the outer wings over and alongside the inner wings. A hydraulically powered lift cylinder means plumbed in parallel with the fold cylinders lifts the inner wing sections and their respective folded outer wing section to a vertical position. A cross brace member stabilizes the raised wing sections during transport and storage.
