    Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and processes for controlling fermentation. Two proportional feedback control loops are implemented in a cascade. One control loop is used to maintain the pH by adjusting the dissolved oxygen-stat setpoint. The other control loop is used to maintain the dissolved oxygen by regulating the nutrient feed rate using the newly adjusted dissolved oxygen-set point.
