  • Patent number: 9499297
Abstract: A package of multiple containers in a carton formed from a carton blank has a number of panels including a top panel, a bottom panel, opposed side panels and opposed end panels. The carton may include a dispenser defined by a dispenser tear line formed in one or more panels of the carton in which the dispenser tear line does not extend into the composite end panels nor does it remove corners from the panels. The dispenser may include a portion in the top panel of the carton and may also include a portion of the top panel and an adjacent side panel of the carton. In one aspect, the dispenser leaves the adjacent corners in the top panel of the carton intact thereby maintaining the structural integrity of the carton and the package containing the pouches or other containers.

  • Publication number: 20150014199
Abstract: A package is formed from a paperboard blank having two panels foldably connected together. One panel has formed therein openings which are configured to the shape of a product which is inserted into the opening so as to be held, yet displayed, thereby. When the blank is folded, a rim portion of the product is sandwiched between the panels and a body portion of the product extends through one of the openings. The rim of each product is sandwiched between panels to thereby retain the product in the associated product receiving hole. A number of flaps in the second panel are each aligned with one of the product receiving holes and superimposed over the upper face of the product. Each flap is at least partially removable from the carrier so as to allow for removal of the product from the package. Another aspect of this invention is a blank for forming such a carrier and package.

  • Patent number: 8470424
Abstract: A method of improving the shelf life of a beverage may involve selecting a container for containing a beverage, the container having a first gas barrier property; selecting a blended label having a second gas barrier property; applying the blended label to the container such that the container has a resultant gas barrier property that is greater than the first gas barrier property; and placing the beverage in the container. A beverage container may have a PET wall having a first gas barrier property and a blended label adjacent the PET wall, the blended label having a second gas barrier property, wherein the container has a resultant gas barrier property that is greater than the first gas barrier property. Two different beverage products may be bottled in the same type of container using blended labels that have different gas barrier properties tailored for each beverage product.

  • Patent number: 7033219
Abstract: According to embodiments of the present invention, a modular plug assembly for use with a cable including a drain wire includes a plug housing, an electrically conductive plug wrap, and an electrically conductive contact member. The electrically conductive plug wrap is mounted on the housing and includes a contact portion. The electrically conductive contact member is adapted to be mounted on the cable such that the contact member engages the drain wire. When the plug assembly is mounted on the cable, the contact member engages the contact portion of the plug wrap to provide electrical continuity between the drain wire and the plug wrap.

  • Patent number: 6974348
Abstract: A high-density multi-port-module patch panel system includes angled multi-port modules. The system accommodates a high density of cable connections, while also providing effective cable management without increasing the maintenance costs or sacrificing the network performance. The angled multi-port modules exert less stress on the connectors and portions of the cabling adjacent to the connectors. Further, the angled arrangement provides a neater arrangement, and better facilitates maintenance and service procedures by providing improved visibility of labeling surfaces.
