  • Patent number: 11964442
Abstract: The disclosed forming apparatus includes a frame. The frame defines a vertical axis, a horizontal axis, and a longitudinal axis. A carriage is movably connected to the frame. A first stomp foot is movably connected to the carriage such that it may move along the vertical axis. A first end effector is movably connected to the carriage. The first end effector is controlled by an actuator. The disclosed method for forming a composite part includes applying at least one ply of composite material over a forming surface of a forming tool and deforming the at least one ply of composite material over the forming surface of the forming tool with a forming apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10556572
Abstract: A device and method used to raise or lower the landing gear of a semi-trailer. The device is coupled to the landing gear of the semi-trailer and actuates the landing gear according to user selection. The user may select to actuate the landing gear through a motorized gear assembly within the device, by optionally attaching a handle to the landing gear via the device, or by engaging a separate motorized hand tool to the landing gear via the device. To use the handle or the motorized hand tool, the user actuates a shift lever disposed on the device which disengages the related mechanical means for actuating the landing gear. The flexibility for actuating the landing gear allows a user to raise or lower the landing gear according to the surrounding circumstances or in case one of the means for actuating breaks or fails.
