  • Patent number: 10739478
Abstract: Described herein are implementations of various technologies for a method for seismic data processing. The method may receive seismic data for a region of interest. The seismic data may be acquired in a seismic survey. The method may determine sparse seismic data by selecting shot points in the acquired seismic data using statistical sampling. The method may determine simulated seismic data based on an earth model for the region of interest, a reflection model for the region of interest, and the selected shot points. The method may determine an objective function that represents a mismatch between the sparse seismic data and the simulated seismic data. The method may update the reflection model using the objective function.

  • Patent number: 9600775
Abstract: Apparatus and methods of categorizing a subterranean formation including collecting data related to the formation, performing an algorithm comprising guided Bayesian survey design, identifying data observations to collect, and collecting additional data observations related to the formation. In some embodiments, the performing comprises forming a matrix or loading a matrix or both. Apparatus and methods of categorizing a subterranean formation including collecting data related to the formation, performing an algorithm comprising guided Bayesian survey design, identifying data observations to use, and processing the data observations wherein the observations require less processing time than if no algorithm were performed.

  • Publication number: 20150066458
Abstract: An objective function is based on covariance of differences in predicted data over multiple sets of candidate model parameterizations that characterize a target structure. A computation is performed with respect to the objective function to produce an output. An action selected from the following can be performed based on the output of the computation: selecting at least one design parameter relating to performing a survey acquisition that is one of an active source survey acquisition and a non-seismic passive acquisition, and selecting a data processing strategy.

  • Publication number: 20030230889
Abstract: A binder 10 in accordance with the principles of this invention is provided for supporting a bible 12 therein. The binder 10 includes a front support member 14 and a lower back support member 16 hingedly aligned with and spaced from the front support member. A first pocket member 24 is formed on the front support member 14 for supporting a front cover of the bible 12 therein, and a second pocket member 32 is formed on the back support member 16 for supporting a back cover of the bible therein.
