Abstract: An aircraft window shade assembly is provided. The assembly includes an inboard shade, an outboard shade, a housing and a cover. The inboard and outboard shades each include a plurality of holes disposed along one side. The housing includes a transparent inboard panel, a transparent outboard panel, a pair of inboard guide slots to receive the inboard shade, a pair of outboard guide slots to receive the outboard shade, an inboard motor and an outboard motor. The inboard motor is coupled to a drive gear sprocket having a cylindrical outer surface and a plurality of teeth extending radially therefrom that mesh with the plurality of holes in the inboard shade, and moves the inboard shade between open and closed positions. The outboard motor is coupled to a drive gear sprocket having a cylindrical outer surface and a plurality of teeth extending radially therefrom that mesh with the plurality of holes in the outboard shade, and moves the outboard shade between open and closed positions.

Abstract: A pivoting adjustment screw for mounting the bolt of a latch to provide vibrational damping along with increasing preload as the contact point of the adjustment screw to the mating structure shifts in a shock or vibrational environment. The adjustment screw includes a pivoting portion which permits the screw to pivot which allows a rotating rather than a scraping or abrading movement in response to the relative movement between the elements being connected.

Abstract: A latch assembly includes a hook having an opening engageable to a keeper. A side plate having a straight slot and an angle slot is mounted to the hook via posts. A spring is provided to bias the plate so that it partially overlaps the opening. The plate prevents a latch handle from being moved into its closed position unless the hook is fully engaged onto a keeper.
