  • Patent number: 11322160
Abstract: At least one of the present exemplary embodiments and methods introduces a unique Audio Collection System comprised of self-contained Audio Collection Devices (ACDs), Audio Distribution Devices (ADDs), and Audio Control Analysis (ACA) components/functions. The system may be used to gather audio signals from environments in ways that are not presently available with the intention being to gather audio, analyze, and learn what may be understood about a given environment or situation. One exemplary feature of this system is that it introduces a set of standardized modular components that can be scaled from a small configuration to larger systems. For example, systems that may manage large numbers of audio input streams, broadcast audio streams, modify audio streams, combine and track sounds, and present sound as immersive experience. Additional features will provide other various controls and statistical capabilities, as described herewith.

  • Patent number: 10109279
Abstract: This invention describes methods for implementing human speech recognition. The methods described here are of using sub-events that are sounds between spaces (typically a fully spoken word) that is then compared with a library of sub-events. All sub-events are packaged with it's own speech recognition function as individual units. This invention illustrates how this model can be used as a Large Vocabulary Speech Recognition System.

  • Publication number: 20110305326
Abstract: This invention involves additional details and uses for the invention described in U.S. Pat. No. 7,047,192 Simultaneous Multi-User Real-Time Speech Recognition System file by Poirier. The patent granted to Poirier teaches a platform based on audio events on which can be built larger applications to solve problems of capturing and transcribing human conversations. U.S. Pat. No. 7,047,192 also explains and teaches that indexing, cataloging, editing, and searching audio is possible using a browser to find specific content within text which is then directly linked with the relative audio event. More specifically it describes how this patent can be used as a building block approach to provide functionality for real-time automatic speech recognition systems that a scalable from a single user to hundreds and potentially thousands of users having conversations.

  • Publication number: 20110103577
Abstract: This invention describes a microphone that is specifically used for a multiparty conferencing system or an event recording system where people are in the same room or may be spread between separate geographical locations. The unique aspect of this directional microphone is that it can operate using network based protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, VoIP, and SIP and can enhance an event recording system by allowing the system to scale up to easily with reduced cost when compared to traditional audio microphone input channels. The microphone would fit ideally with conference recording systems as described in Poirier's U.S. Pat. Nos. 7,047,192, and 7,603,273. Poirier teaches in these patents an event recording system that separates each person's spoken statements into separate audio and/or text events based on when events start and stop.

  • Patent number: 7689416
Abstract: This invention combines methodologies that enhance voice recognition dictation. It describes features for moving speaker voice files eliminating redundant training of speech recognition dictation applications. It defines how to create synthetic voice models reducing speaker dependency. It combines accuracy and performance into a single measure called RAP Rate. Moreover, the invention describes enhancing voice recognition applications and systems by measure/adjusting hardware and software features for optimal voice recognition dictation incorporating methodical processes based on RAP Rate. Using these approaches and tools the invention includes a method for constructing a handheld transcriber that immediately translates audio speech into text with real-time display. The invention describes a method for applying RAP Rate and synthetic voice models to applications like voice mail to text. With the ability to move and translate voice models the invention describes new services that could be provided for a fee.
