  • Patent number: 12245819
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of performing knee surgery, which include comparing a lateral distal femoral angle (LDFA) of the knee with a medial proximal tibial angle (MPTA) of the knee and determining a pre-disease alignment of the knee therefrom. Additionally, prognostic and diagnostic methods for use in knee surgery as well as methods of determining an angle of resection for a distal femur and/or a proximal tibia during knee surgery are provided herein. Also provided is an apparatus for assisting a surgeon in performing surgery on a knee of a patient, the apparatus comprising a processor configured for performing the aforementioned methods. A computer-readable medium having stored thereon a computer program, which, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform the aforementioned methods is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20240288653
Abstract: A fiber optic telecommunications device includes a frame and a fiber optic module including a rack mount portion, a center portion, and a main housing portion. The rack mount portion is stationarily coupled to the frame, the center portion is slidably coupled to the rack mount portion along a sliding direction, and the main housing portion is slidably coupled to the center portion along the sliding direction. The main housing portion of the fiber optic module includes fiber optic connection locations for connecting cables to be routed through the frame. The center portion of the fiber optic module includes a radius limiter for guiding cables between the main housing portion and the frame, the center portion also including a latch for unlatching the center portion for slidable movement. Slidable movement of the center portion with respect to the rack mount portion moves the main housing portion with respect to the frame along the sliding direction.

  • Publication number: 20240256017
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to methods of increasing a temperature of a computer module to start the computer at environmental temperatures below a threshold temperature. An example embodiment includes receiving, at one or more computing components thermally coupled to a main computer via a liquid-cooled plate, a set of program instructions. The method can also include running the set of program instructions on at least one computing component. Running the set of program instructions on the computing component can generate heat that flows to the main computer via the liquid-cooled plate. The method can additionally include detecting, from at least one thermal sensor coupled to the liquid-cooled plate, a temperature reading indicative of a temperature of the main computer. The method can further include determining that the temperature reading has reached a predetermined temperature threshold and based on the temperature reading reaching the predetermined temperature threshold, powering on the main computer.
