Abstract: A system and application for providing a user authentication or verification of a user identity are provided. A primary log in factor is created by a user. In addition, one or more smart devices associated with the user are verified by the user to create a list of user authentication devices. Upon a request for user authentication, a combination of the correct primary log in factor and a determination that the user is within the vicinity of at least one of the user authentication devices on the list are used to determine the authenticity of the user. A user authentication may be used to unlock a secured application on a user device or to authenticate a transaction with a third party. Methods and machine-readable medium for user authentication are also provided.

Utilizing multiple methods of supplying DC power to external batteries, a user can charge a variety of devices at the same time. The power is routed in three distinct ways: directly to the output ports, through resistors, and through a switch converter. Then, using methods established and known to one in the art, external electronic devices may be attached to the output ports. Thus, the external battery will be charged through whichever route delivers the proper voltage. This design utilizes the logic contained within the external device for charging purposes.

The method includes the steps of detecting a content capture request from a user and analyzing a screen being viewed by the user to capture a content and format of any information elements displayed on the screen. The method further includes the steps of prompting the user for descriptive information about the viewed content and saving the captured content and format and descriptive information as a subject matter resource within a subject matter resource file located at a predetermined website or physical location on the user's computer.
