    Abstract: The invention relates to the provision of data held in the form of an information table at a broadcast data receiver and which information table holds information relating to video on demand data which can be selectively transmitted to the receiver from the broadcaster. The invention is of particular use with a DVD digital data broadcast system and the invention can be used as an adjunct to this system allowing differentiation between the conventional information tables for conventional subscription and non-video on demand systems and, in accordance with the invention, to provide information tables so as to distinguish services relating to video on demand data to allow the processing of said data.
