  • Patent number: 9647373
Abstract: A power connector for a vehicle includes a receptacle with a central opening that can receive a cylindrical connector. Within the central opening are a center contact and a number of electrical contacts arranged in a generally circular configuration around the center contact. The receptacle further includes an extension area on either side of the central opening that hold one or more additional electrical contacts. A pair of covers are configured to open to expose the additional contacts and the center contact with the surrounding circular configuration of contacts. • Publication number: 20160188769
Abstract: A method of facilitating simulations of industrial processes is disclosed. The method can be applied to the simulation hydrocarbon processing, including oil and gas processing and production, refining and petrochemicals processing. The method includes receiving process information defining a process for simulation; creating and storing at least one rule defining a time-dependent property of the process information; and simulating the process based on the received process information under variation of the time-dependent property of the process information. An associated apparatus is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9325595
Abstract: A processing device of an information processing system is configured to automatically determine availability status for multiple work stations of an enterprise by monitoring information technology resources associated with respective ones of the work stations. The processing device is further configured to generate availability indicators for the respective work stations based on the determined availability status, and to provide the availability indicators for presentation to one or more users. For example, the processing device may be configured to automatically determine availability status of the work stations by monitoring network ports associated with respective ones of the work stations, with a given one of the work stations being considered unavailable if the corresponding network port is in use and otherwise being considered available.

  • Patent number: 9248939
Abstract: A semi-rigid sleeve for a bottle that is open at both ends and can be inserted downward onto a freestanding bottle so as to cling thereto as a second skin. The sleeve generally comprises a cylindrical body defined by a resilient sheet of semi-rigid material (preferably high-density plastic) open at both ends and having an axial slit running end-to-end, the body being defined by an inward axial curvature and compression-formed with a shape-memory characteristic to normally retain a smaller (furled) first diameter which can be forcibly expanded by parting along said slit to a larger (unfurled) second diameter. An optional rubber coating may be applied to the interior/exterior of the body for insulation purposes. The smooth semi-rigid exterior surface of the bottle sleeve provides a superior advertising medium and outstanding multi-color graphics can be applied by thermoset printing processes, resulting in far more eyecatching graphics than traditional foam koozies.

  • Publication number: 20080316186
Abstract: A digital notepad that is compact, lightweight, very portable, and readily useable for taking and storing digital handwritten notes. The digital notepad is a stand-alone device that instantly and digitally captures everything the user handwrites onto the screen with stylus, and stores it in real time. The device generally comprises a touch screen encased within a housing, and a pen-type stylus for writing on the screen. The device converts the handwritten notes into digital signals and stores the signals in the RAM. The user may retrieve stored notes with the scroll buttons, and delete retrieved notes by depressing the delete button with the stylus. The notepad is especially useful for jotting down notes, daily tasks, grocery lists, phone numbers, e-mail and home addresses, sketches, etc. while in the car; in class; and at a meeting, party, or professional event.
