    Abstract: A method of administering an application management policy is provided. The method includes determining, in response to a request for access to a service, whether the first device is known. The service is provided by an application running on the server. The method also includes determining whether the first device is capable of providing location information. The method further includes, when it is determined that the first device is incapable of providing the location information, determining whether the first device is in communication with a second device capable of providing second location information. The first and second devices are in close proximity that the second location information can be used as a proxy for the first location information. The method also includes determining the physical location of the first device using the second location information. The method further includes setting the policy based on the physical location of the first device.
