Patent number: 11410152Abstract: The electronic device may invoke a host application. The device may display a first host user interface on the display, the first host user interface including a first host user interface component associated with a child application. In response, the device may invoke, using the host application, the child application executed at the electronic device. The device may transmit, using the host application, a request for data associated with a child user interface component to the child application. The device may transmit, using the child application, the request for data associated with the child user interface component to a child application server, wherein the data associated with the child user interface component is inaccessible by the host application. The device may receive, using the child application, the data associated with the child user interface component from the child application server. The device may display the child user interface component.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2020Date of Patent: August 9, 2022Assignee: SYNCHRONY BANKInventors: Jason Chen, Patrick Caraher, Abha Kataria, Darren Robinson, Derk Doijer, Alex Muller, Michael Cook, James Oldham, Daniel Murphy, Amanda Schaufler, Timothy Christensen, Amable De Los Santos

Publication number: 20180081330Abstract: Method of operating an environment management system within a building uses each of at least a first and a second model to predict, for a chosen time period ahead, one or both of: i) control requirements for the environment management system in light of a current measured system state and a desired future system state or ii) a future system state that would be reached with a particular set of control inputs. The first model is a parameterised physical model of the building and the second model is an implicit model of the building. Prediction models are evaluated, a band of uncertainty determined, and a control strategy that minimizing a likely level of deviation from the desired future system state selected. The control strategy comprises control parameters for the environment management system. The environment management system controls the environment in the building in accordance with the selected control strategy.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 29, 2016Publication date: March 22, 2018Applicant: Energy Technologies Institute LLPInventors: Andrew Michael HASLETT, John Irwin Michael BATTERBEE, Darren ROBINSON, Parham A. Patent number: 5892226Abstract: A traffic light control system comprises a passive infra-red presence detection system for detecting the presence of a target emitting infra-red radiation, which comprises a pyro-electric detector including an array of pyro-electric sensor elements. The pyro-electric detector is arranged to generate a signal representative of movement of the target within a detection zone of the detector. By priding a signal processing unit which operates to analyse pulses present in the signal, the said presence detection system is provided with a means whereby it can not only detect movement of the target within the detection zone but also whether that target has moved into and stopped within the detection zone.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1997Date of Patent: April 6, 1999Assignee: Siemens plcInventors: Darren Robinson, Martin Paul Gilham
