  • Patent number: 11378310
Abstract: The present invention provides for a combined heat and power system including at least one engine, operatively coupled to a generator, having at least one first heat source adapted to provide a first thermal energy output at a first temperature range, and at least one second heat source adapted to provide a second thermal energy output at a second temperature range, at least one first heat exchanger, operatively coupled to said at least one engine, and adapted to selectively receive and transfer at least a portion of any one or all of said first thermal energy output and said at least one second thermal energy output; and a dynamically adaptive heat storage system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 4, 2017
Date of Patent: July 5, 2022
    Assignee: Dekato Technology Limited
    Inventors: Darren Watson, David Clancy
  • Patent number: 10661303
Abstract: A method for masking a predetermined surface section prior to application of spray foam material and a masking tool are provided. An end portion of the masking tool is rubbed over the predetermined surface section such that a thin layer of the paraffin wax material is deposited thereon. The masking tool comprises a body made of a solid paraffin wax material. The body has a predetermined shape for holding the same while rubbing an end portion of the masking tool over the predetermined surface section. The paraffin wax material has a predetermined consistency such that during rubbing a thin layer of the paraffin wax material adheres to the predetermined surface section.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 2016
Date of Patent: May 26, 2020
    Inventors: Darren Watson, Joe Upper

  • Publication number: 20130318972
Abstract: A gas turbine apparatus comprising a compressor adapted to compress air; a combustion chamber, disposed downstream of the compressor and adapted to receive and combust a first portion of the compressed air is disclosed. The gas turbine apparatus further comprises a turbine, disposed downstream of the combustion chamber and adapted to receive and perform work from the combusted and compressed air, and a heat exchanger comprising a cooler, disposed parallel to the combustion chamber, downstream of the compressor and upstream of the gas turbine, which is adapted to receive and cool at least a second portion of the compressed air and provide the cooled compressed air to at least one thermally loaded part of the gas turbine.

  • Publication number: 20070238884
Abstract: A fluorescent dye comprising a xanthene-derived fluorophore having the formula (I) wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are independently selected from H, alkyl, alkoxy, alcohol, ether, alkenyl, alkenoxy, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl and amido, except that R1, R4 and/or R5 is not H when bonded to Y, Y1 or Y2, respectively; X is either O? or S?; and at least one of Y, Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4 and Y5 is a group for covalently bonding the dye, optionally through. the use of a coupling agent, to a target molecule, and is otherwise H. The dye may be covalently attached to a target molecule to form a complex, and the dye and/or complex finds use in cell analysis techniques, particularly pH measurement and analysis of kinetics of migration.
