  • Publication number: 20220354539
Abstract: An automated spatial frame is disclosed. The spatial frame may include a master controller unit arranged and configured as a centralized controller for exchanging data with a remote computing system, exchanging data with a plurality of automated struts, and delivering power to the automated struts. Thus arranged, the master-controller unit may be configured as a fully integrated, rechargeable power supply/controller unit for powering and controlling the automated struts. In one embodiment, the master-controller unit is coupled to an external surface of a platform. The platform acting as a conduit for coupling the master-controller unit to the automated struts. As such, at least one of the platforms provides integrated connectivity to the automated struts. In one embodiment, the struts may be wireless automated strut including a motor, a power source, and a wireless communications module for communicating with an external computing system.

  • Patent number: 8930230
Abstract: A system and method for implementing an insurance plan to coordinate an adjudication of a submitted claim corresponding to the plan. The plan includes a people model and a benefit model, such as hierarchical trees combined by a plurality of policies. The system and method comprise assigning a first predefined inheritance of global attributes to coupled elements of the people tree and assigning a second predefined inheritance of global attributes to coupled elements of the benefits tree. The system and method also assigning a local administration rule for at least one local attribute of the trees, the assignment between a selected people element of the people tree and a selected benefit element of the benefits tree. The local administration rule overrides the corresponding global attributes of the selected elements, such that resolution of the global attributes with the local attributes for the selected elements provides a rule set for adjudication of the submitted claim.

  • Publication number: 20080030345
Abstract: A system and method for identifying, locating, and managing inventory of sterilized medical devices located within a sealed sterilization case in preparation for a surgical procedure. Communication tags, such as radio frequency identification (RFID) and/or Global Positioning System (GPS) tags, are connected to the medical device and communicate information wirelessly. Information is obtained from the communication tags and sent to the database where it is compared with the information in the database. The results may be displayed on the interface thereby providing the user with information about the medical instruments contained in the sealed sterilization case without breaking the seal of the sealed sterilization case.
