  • Patent number: 7497239
Abstract: The sliding table has a stationary bed and a carriage which is movable relative to the bed. The carriage has an upper surface on which a work piece is seated. The bed has rollers and the bed has a track. Alternatively, the bed has a track and the carriage has rollers. In either case, the rollers roll back and forth in the track. Either the rollers are biased into contact with the track or the track is biased into contact with the rollers. In the former case, an eccentric and a coil spring are used to bias the rollers. In the latter case, the track has a bearing plate which is biased by a rubber strip or O-ring cord stock into contact with the rollers.

  • Publication number: 20080284081
Abstract: A panel is slidable on a table saw by means of a roller assembly which is mounted in a groove in the working surface of the table saw. The panel has two parallel tracks for a pair of fence retainers. The retainers are pivotally connected to a fence and at least one is slidable relative to the fence. The retainers may be immobilized in the tracks and also immobilized relative to the fence. A fence stop supports a work piece on the fence. The fence stop has a head to which an arm is connected. The arm pivots toward and away from a work-piece contacting position. The head may be turned upside down and whether it is upright or upside down determines the distance between the work-piece contacting position and the fence.

  • Patent number: 7337701
Abstract: The sliding table is used in conjunction with a workbench and includes a panel slidable along a path which is disposed normal to the longitudinal axis of the workbench. The panel has stop points in front and behind the workbench. At each stop point, the panel has an outwardly extending portion which is cantilevered from an outer support and an inwardly extending portion which is prevented from rising by an inner support. Both supports are beneath the panel and are spaced apart from one another.

  • Patent number: 7255144
Abstract: The guide controls the angle of stock on the working surface of a workbench. The guide is slidable along a guide rod and has a rotary element to which a backing block is attached for supporting the stock. The rotary element is provided with a detent which causes the element to move in predetermined increments as it rotates. The guide is rotatable about the guide rod so that it may be swung away from the working surface when the guide is not in use.

  • Patent number: 6966122
Abstract: A gauge for measuring the extent of alteration in the level of carriage on which a power tool such as a router or saw is mounted. The carriage is mounted beneath a working surface on which a piece of work is placed. The cutting implement of the power tool such as a bit or blade projects through an opening in the working surface and terminates above the surface. The carriage may be raised and lowered and the gauge records any movement of the carriage. A clutch allows the gauge to be manually adjusted without affecting the level of the carriage. A hollow chamber is mounted beneath the working surface and through which the cutting implement extends. Air within the chamber is evacuated in order to create a vacuum for withdrawing debris resulting from the cutting of the work piece from the area where cutting takes place.

  • Publication number: 20040179938
Abstract: The rotor is positioned above a work-piece and has a number of curved downwardly extending blades. A nozzle directs cooling liquid onto the leading surface of successive blades as the rotor rotates The blades re-direct the cooling liquid against a bit or drill used to cut the work-piece. The blades also direct the liquid into the pocket cut by the bit or drill in the work-piece in order to drive out any debris which collects in the pocket.

  • Patent number: 6739066
Abstract: The level-adjusting apparatus adjusts the level of a tool such as a router having a bit for cutting a piece of work on a working surface. The apparatus has a carriage on which the router is mounted. The carriage is located beneath the working surface and its bit projects above the surface. The carriage may be raised and lowered by means of a handle above the working surface. The handle is removable so that once the router is in position the handle may be removed so that it does not interfere with the routing operation.
