    Abstract: An apparatus to aid in the collection of objects along a generally planar surface. The apparatus includes a base portion adapted to receive a handle and movable wings to form an increased area for plow-like use in pushing or pulling across the surface for collecting a large number of the objects. The wings can be pivotably coupled to the base portion using any suitable fastener and move from a first position to a second position. The base portion can include at least one slot sized to receive a handle portion for pushing the apparatus with a pair of wings in an extended position across an ice surface for collecting loose objects, including but not limited to hockey pucks.

    Abstract: A device for use in training activities for stick-based sports. The device is comprised of a generally rigid material provided in a generally cylindrical configuration. The device can have a first end and a send end that can define the length of the device. A slot can be formed between the first end and second end forming a first edge and second edge. An apparatus, such as a stick, can be positioned within an interior cavity of the device by inserting the stick through the slot allowing the device to be removably coupled to the apparatus. One or both ends of the device can have a flared portion. The flared portion can provide a better grip to a user as well as ensure smooth movement of the device along the apparatus.

    Abstract: A fluid pressure cylinder assembly has a sensor to provide a signal indicating the amount of extension of a piston rod from the cylinder. The sensor includes a sleeve that is fixed relative to a base of the cylinder and passes into a longitudinal bore in the piston rod, and the piston rod carries a sensor core that is in the bore and is secured to the piston rod at an end opposite from a piston on the rod. The core slides on the interior of the sensor sleeve. A connection is provided to the sensor sleeve such that as the core moves relative to the sensor sleeve a signal indicating the amount of movement and the relative position of the cylinder base and the piston rod is provided.
