  • Patent number: 5918476
Abstract: A replacement kit allows the replacement of a pressure operable valve of a vehicle air conditioning circuit, from a mechanically operated valve to an electrically actuated switch. The kit includes a replacement cylinder, a sensor controlled electrical switch coupling to the vehicle adjacent to the evaporator with the sensor probe coupled to the refrigerant flow from the evaporator, and a conductor means for electrically coupling the sensor controlled electrical switch to the clutch cycling system of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5193609
Abstract: A vehicle air treatment unit includes a number of components which cooperate together. A temperature exchange coil is housed in a coil housing. The coil housing has an input port for receiving air from the interior of the vehicle and an exhaust port. A blower motor is disposed in the coil housing adjacent the temperature exchange coils, and has a shaft oriented toward the exhaust port of the coil housing. A motor mount is coupled to the coil housing at the exhaust port for coupling the blower motor in a fixed position relative to the coil housing. A blower wheel is coupled to the motor shaft at the exhaust of the coil housing, in axial alignment with the temperature exchange coils. A blower housing in disposed about the blower wheel. The blower motor operates to pull air from the interior of the vehicle and through the temperature exchange coils by rotating the blower wheel within the blower housing.

  • Patent number: 4972680
Abstract: An update kit allows the conversion of a suction throttling valve of a vehicle air conditioning circuit, from a mechanically operated switch to an electrically actuated thermostatic switch, without destroying the authenticity of the air conditioning circuit. The kit includes a substantially rigid planar plate for coupling in the suction throttling valve in place of a diaphragm, a gasket for coupling adjacent to the planar rigid plate to prevent leakage of refrigerant, a thermostatic electrical switch having a flexible elongated temperature probe from coupling to the vehicle adjacent to the evaporator with the flexible elongated temperature probe in contact with the evaporator, a faster means for securing the elongated temperature probe in place, thermically insulating tape for wrapping around the flexible elongated temperature probe, and a conductor means for electrically coupling the thermostatic electrical switch to the clutch cycling system of the vehicle.
