  • Publication number: 20200222815
Abstract: Multiple contestants engage in a fantasy sports game across a total of Y rounds of fantasy play which are indexed as rounds y={1, 2, . . . Y}. N and Y are integers greater than two. For each yth round of the total Y rounds corresponding to Y playoff rounds in a football league: a) exactly one winning fantasy team per group in the respective yth round is determined, each group comprising no more than N fantasy teams selected from either an immediately preceding (y?1)th round or from an initial upload of no more than NY fantasy teams for an initial (y=1)th round; and b) advancing to a next subsequent round only the winning fantasy teams. Further in the method, a grand prize is tangibly awarded to a contestant associated with the fantasy team determined to be the winner of the group in a final (y=Y)th round.

  • Patent number: 8567355
Abstract: An integrated control system for use with an engine connected to a generator providing electrical power to a switchgear is disclosed. The engine receives gas produced by a gasifier. The control system includes an electronic controller associated with the gasifier, engine, generator, and switchgear. A gas flow sensor monitors a gas flow from the gasifier to the engine through an engine gas control valve and provides a gas flow signal to the electronic controller. A gas oversupply sensor monitors a gas oversupply from the gasifier and provides an oversupply signal indicative of gas not provided to the engine. A power output sensor monitors a power output of the switchgear and provide a power output signal. The electronic controller changes gas production of the gasifier and the power output rating of the switchgear based on the gas flow signal, the oversupply signal, and the power output signal.

  • Publication number: 20120125276
Abstract: A four stroke internal combustion includes at least one cylinder and at least one intake valve associated with the cylinder. The intake valve is configured to open and close over a predetermined range of crankshaft rotation in accordance with a Miller thermodynamic cycle. An electronic controller receives at least one input signal indicative of an amount of air and/or an amount of air/fuel mixture in cylinder. The electronic controller is configured to provide a timing phase signal that operates to adjust a timing of operation of the intake valve based on the input signal(s) such that a torque output of the engine is maintained substantially constant over a predetermined range of engine speed by shifting the predetermined range of crankshaft rotation.

  • Publication number: 20070234715
Abstract: An engine assembly may include an internal combustion engine configured to combust a gaseous fuel. The engine assembly may also include a fuel intake line operatively connected to the internal combustion engine. The fuel intake line may be configured to direct the gaseous fuel towards the internal combustion engine. The engine assembly may further include a refrigeration assembly operatively connected to the fuel intake line. The refrigeration assembly may be configured to cool the gaseous fuel in the fuel intake line.

  • Publication number: 20060219230
Abstract: A combustion-gas recirculation system has a mixing chamber with a mixing-chamber inlet and a mixing-chamber outlet. The combustion-gas recirculation system may further include a duct connected to the mixing-chamber inlet. Additionally, the combustion-gas recirculation system may include an open inlet channel with a solid outer wall. The open inlet channel may extend into the mixing chamber such that an end of the open inlet channel is disposed between the mixing-chamber inlet and the mixing-chamber outlet. Furthermore, air within the open inlet channel may be at a pressure near or below atmospheric pressure.
