Abstract: According to various embodiments, a processing subsystem includes: a processor mounted on a first printed circuit board that is oriented parallel to a first plane; a heat sink thermally coupled to the processor; a second printed circuit board that is communicatively coupled to the first printed circuit board and oriented parallel to a second plane, wherein the second plane is not parallel with the first plane; and at least one cooling fan that is positioned to direct a cooling fluid through the heat sink in a direction parallel to the first plane.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a cooling solution that evaluates the thermal environment of a computer component based on transient thermal responses of the computer component. The transient thermal responses are generated by measuring the temperature rise of the computer component over a designated amount of time for multiple “good” assemblies and multiple “bad” assemblies to determine a duration and allowable temperature rise needed to set a pass/fail criteria for different failure modes of cooling devices. A cooling device may not be operating as designed due to damage, needed maintenance, missing thermal interface material (TIM), improper installation, etc. From the transient thermal responses, a thermal problem, such as a malfunctioning fan, can be determined and a corrective action can be performed.

Abstract: In exemplary embodiments, a universal messaging adapter provides hands-free operation of a communications device. The adapter communicates with the communications device, and in some embodiments, with a peripheral device such as another communications device, a headset, and other devices. The universal messaging adapter allows a user to use voice commands so that the user does not have to handle the communications device. The universal messaging adapter receives voice commands from a user interface and translates the voice commands to commands recognized by the communications device. The universal messaging adapter also monitors the communications device to detect communications device events and provides notice of the events to the user. Still further, the universal messaging adapter presents customized voice messaging tools that enable a portable voice messaging service that the user may use with a plurality of communications devices.

When the snack product is composed entirely or substantially of fruit material, the snack product tends to be sticky and the undulating body and crenate cross-section serve to reduce the surface area of the snack product that would contact the surfaces of a wrapper, equipment and the consumer. By reducing the surface area contact, the tendency of the snack product to stick to the wrapper, equipment and the consumer is reduced.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for establishing communication with a wireless device and a recipient telecommunications device in a telecommunications network. In one computer-assisted embodiment, the method includes identifying at least a first address associated with the recipient telecommunications device; and, processing the first address for retrieving at least a second address associated with the recipient telecommunications device. The second address is employable to establish communication between the wireless device and the recipient telecommunications device. In another aspect, a system embodiment includes an AIN network configured to establish communications between the wireless device and a database and/or the recipient telecommunications device. In various method and system embodiments, at least one of the addresses includes a telephone number, a pager number, an electronic mail address, an instant messaging address, and/or a facsimile number.

Abstract: A method for utilizing the caller identification information stored in call logs to retrieve address book entries stored in a database, enabling a reply to each call in the call log using the communication medium and contact address of choice. Using this method, a customer can access the call logs for various phone numbers using a computer and can link to additional contact information associated with each entry. This additional contact information is stored in an address book database, either locally or on a network.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for forwarding telephone calls, facsimile transmissions and electronic messages to a single forwarding telephone number. The telephone calls, fax transmissions and electronic messages are first forwarded to a central forwarding repository by the forwarding party where the fax transmissions, and messages are converted to audio formats. Forwarded telephone calls and audio formatted versions of the fax transmissions and electronic messages are then forwarded directly to a designated forwarding number. If the forwarding party answers at the forwarding number, she will receive forwarded calls, and the audio formatted versions of fax transmissions and electronic messages will be played to her over her telephone. If the forwarding party does not answer the forwarded call, she subsequently may retrieve saved telephone calls, saved telephone messages and saved audio versions of fax transmissions and electronic messages from the central forwarding repository.
