  • Publication number: 20100018834
Abstract: A cooling bed plate is formed of a plurality of generally parallel transverse members, at least two longitudinal side rails forming a rigid plate having a series of transverse open cooling slots extending therethrough. The upper plane of the rigid plate has a series of recessed pockets formed therein with transversely spaced apart support blocks welded to spaced apart transverse members. The bearing blocks are removably affixed to the support blocks for supporting rollers mounted within the recess pockets for rotation about a generally transverse axis to support an object to be cooled thereabove.

  • Patent number: 7341138
Abstract: Idle roller assembly suitable for use in trough type belt conveyors is provided having an elongate shaft and spaced apart first and second roller bearing assemblies, each having mounted thereabout an annular hub. A cylindrical tubular roller is mounted to and spans between the spaced apart hubs forming a conveyor support surface. One of the roller bearings affixed to the shaft in a fixed axial position while the other bearing outer race is capable of moving axially sufficiently to accommodate thermal expansion of the cylindrical tubular roller during use. Seals are provided, outboard of each of the hub members between the hub and the adjacent shaft to isolate the bearings from the environment.

  • Patent number: 5472179
Abstract: An insert for use with a cooling bed plate transfer grid including a plurality of longitudinal side grid members and a plurality of transverse cross grid members extending between the side grid members and coacting therewith to define a plurality of grid pockets, each sized to removably receive an insert. The insert includes a housing sized to fit in the pocket and including front and rear end flange portions adapted to seat on successive cross members. The housing is fixedly secured to the successive cross members by J bolts which extend downwardly and beneath the respective cross members for clamping engagement with the respective cross members. The housing further defines a central slot in which a roller is mounted. The roller is mounted on the central journal portion of a pin and the pin further includes rectangular end portions slidably received in vertical slots defined by the housing at opposite sides of the roller.
