  • Patent number: 12193427
Abstract: An insect trap may include a first housing; a reservoir at least partially defined by the first housing; a protrusion disposed within the reservoir and extending inward from an interior surface of the first housing, the protrusion configured to pierce a package disposed within the reservoir; an actuator connected to the protrusion such that when the actuator is moved, the protrusion moves with the actuator within the reservoir; a second housing moveably engaging the first housing; a trap chamber partially formed by the first and second housings; an inlet into the trap chamber; and wherein the second housing is movable between a first position where the inlet is open and a second position where the inlet is closed. The trap may include a package enclosing an attractant composition. The package has a release rate of the attractant composition from about 5 ?g per day to about 500 ?g per day.

  • Publication number: 20240423205
Abstract: This disclosure provides a turf grass treatment composition having at least one biosurfactant. The turf grass treatment composition, when applied to turf grass, or to roots of the turf grass, or to soil in which the turf grass grows, is effective for enhancing quality of the turf grass. The turf grass treatment composition optionally has at least one naturally-derived surfactant, at least one plant health component or biostimulant, and at least one inert component. The turf grass treatment composition enhances quality of the turf grass, for example, by enhancing root structure and growth, nutrient use efficiency, water use efficiency, stress tolerance, disease tolerance, and/or inducing systemic resistance. This disclosure also provides a method of enhancing quality of turf grass by applying to the turf grass, or to roots of the turf grass, or to soil in which the turf grass grows, the turf grass treatment composition.

  • Patent number: 11856957
Abstract: Insecticidal compositions have at least one active agent and at least one insecticide. The active agent can include perilla oil, a component found in perilla oil, or a perillaldehyde or carvone analog. The insecticide can include a pyrethrum, pyrethrin, pyrethroid, neonicotinoid, chlofenapyr, ethiprole, sulfoxoflor, carbamate, organophosphate, or organochlorine. Methods for controlling insects include contacting an insect with an effective amount of a composition described in this specification. Modified plants that produce an active agent can be contacted with an insecticide.
