Abstract: A button tool is adapted to assist a person fastening a button through a button hole. The tool includes a handle, a button hook, and a button hole spreader. In one configuration, the handle includes four longitudinally disposed ribs with one of the ribs functioning as a base rib while the other three ribs are spaced apart and disposed perpendicular to the base rib. The button hook defines a button opening and a hook opening with the button opening being larger than the hook opening. The button hole spreader is disposed between the button hook and the handle. The button hole spreader includes an abutment plate adapted to prevent the button tool from being readily pushed entirely through a button hole.

Abstract: An alignment guide for a core bit laterally supports a core bit perpendicular to the wall in which the hole is being drilled. The support thus allows the core bit to start a smooth hole perpendicular to the wall and successfully drill a high quality hole with smooth edges. In one configuration, the invention provides a collapsible alignment guide that is provided to the user in a collapsed configuration. The user erects the guide and uses a connector to hold the guide in an erect configuration wherein the guide may be used to stabilize a core bit. In one configuration, the guide may be formed from a flat blank of material that is folded into a collapsible six sided box with opposed sets of guide openings.

Abstract: A combined writing instrument holder and hand support assists those who have difficulties gripping and controlling a writing instrument. The device releasably receives a writing instrument in a position where it may be brought into contact with paper. The device provides a comfortable hand support that prevents the user's hand from engaging the paper while the device is being used.

Abstract: The invention provides the combination of a grille and a connector frame for a duct outlet in a HVAC system. At least one lock element extends from one of the connector frame and the grille and releaseably engages the other of the connector frame and grille in a releasable connection to hold the grille to the connector frame. The lock element may be manipulated from the exterior of the grille to release the grille from the connector frame without the use of tools.

Abstract: A poke through includes a tube assembly having inner and outer tube sections that are slidably telescopically disposed together. A lip protrudes from the outer end of at least one of the tube sections. A cup is selectively and removably disposed on one of the tube sections. The cup has a body plate and a flange. A portion of the lip on the tube section on which the cup is disposed engages the front surface of the body plate. In one embodiment, an adjustable plug has a plurality of selectively removable rings. The adjustable plug fits inside one of the tube sections to seal and insulate the poke through both before and after the poke through is in use.

The duct section has a pair of ends that are adjustable between male and female configurations. The interlocking device used to connect the duct portions allows continuous adjustability between the first end and the second end of the duct section while minimizing air leaks and providing structural integrity to the duct section.

Abstract: A support frame is used to hold the position of a vertically-disposed air duct within a wall between wall studs. The support frame defines an opening that receives the air duct. The support frame has a flange extending around the opening that engages the air duct. The support frame may include notched ends that receive the opposed wall studs to position the support frame with respect to the duct opening formed in the floor boards.
