Abstract: One exemplary embodiment of the disclosure provides methods and compositions for treating a subject suffering from Alcoholic Liver Disease, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, and certain cancers, or a combination thereof, by administering a therapeutically effective amount of purified liminoid glucoside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to the subject.
