Abstract: The disclosure provides a wrist band including a gas-sensing module including a luminescent sensor for transcutaneous measurements of carbon dioxide. The wrist band may further include a luminescent sensor for transcutaneous measurements of oxygen. The wrist band may include a luminescent sensor including 8-Hydroxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid (HPTS). The wrist band may include a luminescent sensor including a ruthenium or platinum-based dye. The wrist band may include a luminescent sensor integrated into the wrist band as an add on strap module, in a smartwatch housing, or as a patch or armband. The wrist band may be a wrist band for a smart watch. In embodiments, the disclosure also includes methods of measuring Respiratory Quotient (RQ) using the wristband.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems to simultaneously create software applications and documents compatible to all electronic and print platforms from a single database source using graph database technology. The methods and systems may include a graph data structure having two or more points of data interconnected by a semantic relationship, and a transform for the conversion of the graph data structure into a platform data structure specific to a native platform application. The semantic relationship enables processing of the graph data structure into a plurality of distinct media. The platform data structure may include information to represent the data on the platform. Changes to the data may be made in the source graph data structure in order to update one or more platform data structures.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for viewing hierarchical data on a portable computing device. The method and system provides for processing, organizing, and viewing hierarchically arranged data on a portable computing device display in a variety of embodiments. The system includes a central relational database for storing the source data, a data processing unit for converting the source data, and a text viewing software for multiple viewing platforms, including that of a personal digital assistant (PDA). The method disclosed provides for the processing of the source data, such as a medical text, into a relational database, and further processing of the database into platform-specific portable database files for viewing on a PDA. The data is arranged into a hierarchical data structure for dynamic viewing on a PDA display.
