  • Publication number: 20230094409
Abstract: A apparatus for monitoring the integrity of an electrical wire includes a clamp system, a sensor system, a user interface configured to receive input data and output wire information, and a control unit configured to process the wire data, process the input data, and generate the output wire information. The clamp system includes a clamp and the sensor system includes a sensor configured to retrieve the wire data. In another embodiment, a portable device is configured to obtain wire data from a smart clamping system, to transmit the wire data to a processor and to receive a multi-dimensional representation, and a computer system configured to receive the wire data generated and to generate the multi-dimensional representation of the wire. A method for monitoring a wire includes capturing wire data using a clamp, transmitting the wire data to a control unit, generating wire information to output, and outputting the wire information.

  • Patent number: 11280431
Abstract: A device for securing aircraft wiring includes a first body having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a concave portion extending semi-annularly between the first end and the second end, the concave portion having a surface defining a wire-receiving space. In an embodiment, the device includes a grip connection element configured to slidably mate with a gripping element. In an embodiment, the device includes a first hole extending into the second end, a first recess extending from the first hole, and a first tab including a first portion and a first latch, the first portion of the first tab projecting in a first direction from the first end of the first body, the first latch of the first tab projecting in a second direction from the first portion of the first tab, the first hole configured to receive a tab identical to the first tab.

  • Patent number: 11073546
Abstract: A device for securing aircraft wiring, monitoring the aircraft wiring, and detecting degradation of the aircraft wiring includes a first clamp body and a sensing device. The first clamp body has a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a concave portion extending semi-annularly between the first end and the second end, a first exterior surface, and a second exterior surface opposite the first exterior surface, the concave portion configured to at least partially define a wire-receiving space. The sensing device is adjacent the wire receiving space and is configured to sense a characteristic of the aircraft wiring indicative of integrity of the aircraft wiring. A wireless module can be configured to communicate data from the sensing device to a receiver. An electronics housing can support the sensing device and/or other electronics, and can releasably mate and fasten to the first clamp body.
