  • Patent number: 5308238
Abstract: A dental handpiece holder adapted such that the length of the handpiece holder for holding and accommodating a dental handpiece is shortened in the axial direction, whereby the main unit of the handpiece can be attached to and detached from the joint section of the handpiece for the purpose of replacement with one hand of an operator. Also a dental treatment assembly by use of the holder. The handpiece holder comprising a gutter-shaped receiving seat, first and second grip sections extending from both side fringes of the receiving seat, contact sections formed at the leading ends of the first and second grip sections respectively and an engagement groove or projection extending across the contact sections or the peripheral areas thereof in the internal circumferential direction of the grip sections.

  • Patent number: 4836603
Abstract: A treatment chair assembly comprising a treatment chair and a chair base, the chair assembly being pivotally or swingably connected to a chair base, in which a chair elevating mechanism is housed, so that the chair can be turned upward from and downward to the chair base. With this treatment chair assembly, it is not necessary to separate the treatment chair from the chair base and move the treatment chair to a different place when the chair elevating mechanism and the instrument drive/control unit are maintained, checked or repaired. The treatment chair can be turned upward by pivoting or swinging without separating and moving the treatment chair. As a result, labor can be saved and no space is required to temporarily store the treatment chair. The space for a dental treatment room can be used effectively. Furthermore, since the chair is not separated or moved, less concern for staining or breaking the chair due to bumping against objects is necessary.

  • Patent number: 4503552
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a simple mounting structure for a dental X-ray apparatus. The structure is used in combination with a substantially horizontal treatment bed in such manner that irradiation tube of an X-ray head is designed to take a correct position with respect to the mouth region of a patient lying on the treatment bed with his head resting on the headrest of the bed. The structure includes the treatment bed, an X-ray head support connected to one side of the bed and made up of an assembly of a plurality of hollow tubes adjustable in length in the three-dimensional directions of length, width and height of the bed and an X-ray head mounted at the end of the support and swingable in a back-and-forth direction with respect to an axis of the irradiation tube. The irradiation tube is mounted on the X-ray head and movable toward and away from the mouth region. The structure permits simple and correct positioning of the X-ray apparatus with respect to a patient lying on the bed.

  • Patent number: 4416634
Abstract: This invention is concerned with a dental practice means having an improved construction wherein dental practice bases are lined up straight in rows to enable man's head models to be disposed at both sides of the means. The means is constructed in a smaller dimensions than the conventional ones, wherein instructors are able to fully communicate with their dental practice apprentices and observe the smallest motions of the apprentices' hands, and their way of using dental instruments. Further the dental practice apprentices are able to learn almost in the same manner as though they are practically making dental treatment to dental patients.

  • Patent number: 4311467
Abstract: This disclosure relates to an assembly for paired face to face dental trainees designed to permit two trainees to receive training in dental treatment by seating them in an opposed relation with each other with the desk placed therebetween. The assembly is greatly contributable to a reduction in space, cost in that it comprises human head models and freely drawable and retractable instruments symmetrically mounted in the front and rear side of the desk assembly, drawing and retraction devices for the instruments housed in the upper and lower layers in the desk, a control unit and a piping unit each for a supply fluid housed in the desk, and side boxes attached to the same side on the front and the rear side of the desk and adapted to store treatment tools, utensils and the like therein.
