  • Publication number: 20240316595
Abstract: An embodiment herein provides an apparatus for generating and transmitting ultrasonic waves into a non-planar target for one or more applications. The apparatus includes a control system that generates one or more electrical signals, and a transducer assembly including one or more transducers that receive and convert the one or more electrical signals into the ultrasonic waves. The generated ultrasonic waves are efficiently transmitted into the non-planar target in one or more directions by reducing surface mismatch, where the ultrasonic waves cause at least one of an acoustic streaming, a cavitation, a microstreaming, standing waves, a turbulence in a flow of fluids, a vibration of fluid molecules, a vibration of solids, reflection, refraction, or absorption, thereby improving efficiency of the one or more applications comprising any of, but not limited to, cleaning, imaging, mixing, measuring, sensing, or therapy.

  • Patent number: 7859378
Abstract: There is provided an inductive coupler. The inductive coupler includes (a) a housing having an aperture that extends lengthwise through the housing, a gap that extends lengthwise along a side of the housing, and a flexible region that enables the gap to be opened or closed, wherein the gap, when opened, permits the inductive coupler to be installed on a conductor by having the conductor routed through the aperture. The inductive coupler also includes (b) a magnetic core; and (c) a winding wound around a portion of the magnetic core. The magnetic core and the winding are secured to the housing such that a position of the magnetic core and a position of the winding are maintained relative to one another. The inductive coupler, when installed on the conductor, couples a signal between the conductor and the winding via the magnetic core.

  • Patent number: 5229304
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device which includes a step of evaluating the dopant profile, in at least the depth dimension, in a processed or partially processed wafer. The evaluation is performed nondestructively, by measuring a differential reflectivity spectrum of the doped portion of the wafer. The resulting spectrum can be related to the Fourier transform of the dopant profile in the depth dimension.

  • Patent number: 4946647
Abstract: A process is disclosed for the manufacture of aluminium-graphite particulate composite using uncoated graphite particles for automobile and engineering applications. In the process the aluminium-alloy melt is treated with a reactive metal to increase the wettability of the alloy and the graphite particles. Further treatment of the melt and gradual addition of activated graphite powder and stirring at about 500 to about 600 r.p.m. at a temperature of about 700.degree. to about 720.degree. C. result in the composite.
