  • Patent number: 12213840
Abstract: A facility for automatically establishing measurement location controls for Doppler ultrasound studies is described. The facility receives a first ultrasound image, and user input selecting an anatomical structure appearing in it. The facility performs localization to determine the location of the selected anatomical structure in the initial image, and determines a first placement of measurement location controls relative to the structure. On the ultrasound machine, the facility invokes one or more first Doppler ultrasound modes using the first placement. The facility receives a second ultrasound image produced by the ultrasound machine using the one or more first modes; determines a flow location and direction based on the second ultrasound image; and determines a second placement relative to the flow location. The facility invokes one or more second Doppler ultrasound modes using the second placement, and receives results from the invocation of the one or more second Doppler ultrasound modes.

  • Patent number: 10019251
Abstract: A security software packaging and deployment system is provided. The system may provide a platform for communication between ClickOnce and a Microsoft Excelâ„¢ spreadsheet via a computer-readable language. The system may also include a three-tiered security module. A first tier may delete the combination application upon receipt of an unauthorized attempt to access the combination application. A second tier may terminate the combination application if a predetermined file is unavailable. A third tier may encode a password of the spreadsheet in a mathematical formula; and store the decrypt key in a non-descriptive variable name. The system may include an administration module. The administration module may enable an administrative user to emulate a non-administrative user and log into the combination application as one of a plurality of roles.

  • Publication number: 20030019494
Abstract: A method and apparatus for calibrating the air flow in a respirator system is provided. The method provides for the establishment of control set points in a true calibration protocol through the simple triggering of the microprocessor of a controller. When the trigger is initiated, the microprocessor engages and provides the logic for the calibration cycle. The calibration cycle proceeds until a second trigger terminates the process and establishes the control set points. The calibration sequence of the method relies only on an initiation and termination trigger that is facilitated by components integral to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6242903
Abstract: The voltage detection stick comprises an elongate and hollow casing member that has a front and a back. A tip is rotatably and removably attached to the front of the casing member and a sensor is disposed within the casing member for sensing the presence of a voltage when the sensor is positioned adjacent an electrically conductive member. The casing member has an indicator and an integrated circuit entirely disposed within the casing member for receiving a signal from the sensor and transmitting the signal to the indicator. A power source is disposed within the casing member for powering the sensor, the integrated circuit and the indicator.
