  • Patent number: 11280291
Abstract: A cylinder liner for an internal combustion engine is formed of cylindrical liner body having an interior cavity with a cylindrical inner surface, a sensor embedded in the cylindrical liner body and being configured for sensing a physical condition on the cylindrical inner surface, and a transmitter connected to the cylindrical liner body at a position remote from the sensor. A connecting wire connects the transmitter to the sensor, and is embedded in in the cylindrical liner body. The sensor is located in an upper portion of the cylindrical liner body and the transmitter is located directly below the sensor, such that the wire runs vertically. The transmitter can send information obtained by the sensor to a remote processor for calculating various operating states of the liner.

  • Publication number: 20040045072
Abstract: The visor protector prevents a visor secured to a helmet from being scratched when not in use, such as during transportation thereof. The protector includes a protective member comprising an external and an internal protective shell, joined together at a common protective shell edge, hence forming V-shaped cross section and a trough-like channel. When the visor protector is installed on a visor, the external shell substantially entirely overlies the visor external surface, and the internal protective shell at least partially overlies the visor internal surface. To install the visor protector on a visor, the visor is inserted in the trough-like channel, slid along the external and internal protective shells, and the visor protector is then secured to the visor using one of several attachment methods.

  • Patent number: 6511357
Abstract: A life jacket comprises a back panel defining a first flotation pocket and adapted to lie adjacent a wearer's back and a front panel defining a second flotation pocket, the front panel being connected with the back panel and adapted to lie adjacent the wearer's front. A pocket member is hingedly attached to and supported from the front panel and is adapted to contain and retain emergency accessories. The pocket member includes a relatively stiff plate member having an inner surface facing toward the front panel when the pocket member is closed and an outer surface facing away from the front panel when the pocket member is closed. The pocket member includes a third flotation pocket that is defined by two layers of a flexible material. Flotation material is located in the first, second and third flotation pockets.
