  • Patent number: 11125375
Abstract: A seamless tubular liner for repairing an underground or surface pipe is disclosed, including circumferential wefts consisting of slivers comprising a plurality of staple fibers bundled together, the slivers adapted to elongate through disentanglement of the bundled staple fibers when the seamless tubular liner is subjected to an inflation pressure such that the diameter of the tubular liner is able to expand to accommodate variations of diameter of the pipe being repaired.

Inventors: Sylvain Morissette, Martin Bureau, Sylvain Boissonneault, Joël Héraud, Dave Lord, Pascal Michaud, Gilles Gagnon

  • Patent number: 6336473
Abstract: The present invention provides for a light weight, thin walled hose which is rigid enough to resist kinking at low pressures. The hose includes a generally circular woven inner jacket reinforcement layer; an extruded inner tubing bonded to the inner surface of the inner jacket; a circular woven outer jacket reinforcement layer; and an intermediate tubing bonded to the inner surface of the outer jacket and located between the inner and outer jackets. The intermediate tubing adds thickness to the overall wall of the hose, and stiffens the outer jacket sufficiently so that it resists kinking.
