  • Publication number: 20190203449
Abstract: A filtered water storage system includes a housing having a base wall and a perimeter wall is attached to and extending away from the base wall. The housing has a first length dimension is less than 6.0 inches, a second length dimension is less than 16.0 inches and a third length dimension is less than 20.0 inches. A plurality of tanks is positioned within the housing and each tank includes a water connection. A water conduit positioned in the housing is fluidly coupled to each of the water connections. The water conduit extends through the perimeter wall and has a free end positioned outside of the housing. The free end is configured fluidly coupled to the water filtration system and a spout. The water connections receive filtered water from the water filtration system to fill the tanks with filtered water to be accessed by the spout.

  • Patent number: 8573565
Abstract: A fence that bounds the outfield of a game played with bat and ball comprises a plurality of mesh panels suspended from a plurality of support posts, with foul posts at either end. The fence can be readily assembled and disassembled. The support posts' anchors can be covered when the fence is disassembled, so that the field is usable for other sports. The function of the fence is twofold: (1) to minimize injury to a player who runs into the fence and (2) to confine such a player within the field of play should the player impact the fence.

  • Patent number: 7852711
Abstract: Devices and methods for determining a current location using a location detection element, determining a local time zone based on the current location using a memory unit, keeping time using a micro-electro-mechanical-system (MEMS) oscillator unit co-fabricated on a common substrate with the location detection element, and determining a local time based on the local time zone using a controller element. Optional embodiments comprise a MEMS oscillator unit that is fabricated underneath, next to, or on top of the location detection element. Additional embodiments comprise a GPS chip optionally assisted by a cell phone chipset or FM receiver to enhance location and time determination. Optional embodiments may additionally enter a power conservation mode after the current location has been determined, or may detect air travel to disable the location detection element and enable the location detection element upon detected landing.

  • Patent number: 5431374
Abstract: A unitized nozzle and top plate assembly for use in a slide gate valve is disclosed which comprises a nozzle having porous, gas permeable walls, a top plate having an opening through its thickness for regulating a flow of molten metal, such as steel, and a recess circumscribing the opening for receiving and securing the discharge end of the nozzle to the top plate. The depth of the recess is at least 50%, and preferably 70-80% of the thickness of the top plate in order to minimize the contact between molten metal and the surface of the top plate opening, which in turn reduces the amount of flow-obstructing alumina deposits which accumulate in this area of the slide gate valve. To prevent leaks from occurring in the system supplying pressurized argon through the porous nozzle walls, the gas coupling that is normally welded directly to the steel can surrounding the nozzle is instead mounted on the end of a steel pipe connected to the can.
