    Abstract: A wound sealing sleeve for use with a goniotomy device has a hollow body with an open end by which the sleeve is attachable to a handle and an open tip through which a shaft is passed. One or more optional ports are formed in the sleeve to provide variable fluid paths. The port or ports may differ in size, shape and positioning on the sleeve. The wound sealing sleeve may be affixed to a handle by threads, a friction fit, glue, or mechanically fastened. The wound sealing sleeve is able to be deformed slightly in order to match the shape or contour of the eye incision to prevent leakage between the exterior surface of the wound sealing sleeve and the surgical incision.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide various examples of monitoring adverse events in the background while displaying a higher-resolution surgical video on a lower-resolution display device. In one aspect, a process for detecting adverse events during a surgical procedure can begin by receiving a surgical video. The process then displays a first portion of the video images of the surgical video on a screen to assist a surgeon performing the surgical procedure. While displaying the first portion of the video images, the process uses a set of deep-learning models to monitor a second portion of the video images not being displayed on the screen, wherein each deep-learning model is constructed to detect a given adverse event among a set of adverse events. In response to detecting an adverse event in the second portion of the video images, the process notifies the surgeon of the detected adverse event to prompt an appropriate action.

The method includes receiving an ultrasound image and classifying the ultrasound image into one or more categories based on image features. The classifying creates a classified image. The method also includes determining whether the classified image provides an acceptable representation of a target organ. In response to determining that the classified image does not provide an acceptable representation of the target organ, the method includes selecting operator guidance corresponding to the one or more category; presenting via a display and/or audible sound, the selected operator guidance; and receiving additional ultrasound images. The method further includes calculating a result based on the classified image in response to determining that the classified image provides an acceptable representation of the target organ.

While displaying the portion of the endoscope video, the process detects a surgical tool present in an off-screen portion of the endoscope video not visible on the display, and therefore not visible to the user. The process further analyzes the off-screen portion of the endoscope video including the detected surgical tool. The process subsequently generates an alert when a risk of the detected surgical tool is identified.

The hardware processor executes the one or more programs to store a map of wireless networks, calculate a route of travel for the mobile device, and determine a list of wireless networks connectable to the mobile device. A schedule is created for connecting the mobile device to the wireless networks on the list and connecting the mobile device to a first one of the wireless networks on the schedule along the route. The mobile device switches sequentially from the first one of the wireless networks to a next one of the wireless networks in the schedule so the mobile device is connected to at least one of the wireless networks on the schedule while moving along the route.

While displaying the first portion of the video images, the process monitors a second portion of the video images not being displayed on the screen for a set of predetermined events, wherein the second portion is not visible to the user.
