Abstract: A computer readable medium comprises instructions, which when executed by a data processor of a portable electronic device, cause the data processor to obtain a list of wines available at a commercial establishment; and identify at least one attribute associated with each wine included on the list of wines. The instructions further cause the data processor to, for each wine included on the list of wines, determine a score indicative of a likelihood that the user will purchase the wine on the basis of the at least one attribute and at least one of a characteristic associated with the user and a preference input by the user. Based on the score, the instructions further cause the data processor to identify at least one recommended wine for recommendation to the user; and present the at least one recommended wine on a display interface of the portable electronic device.
